Godly Play & Sunday SchoolThe Godly Play story-telling and manipulatives are presented at our 10:00 a.m. Sunday worship service. This style of learning uses small wooden figurines to show and interact with the scripture stories. Once the Godly Play storyteller is finished with the Biblical story the students (ages 2 through 12) then proceed to their grade level classrooms to further discuss and explore the stories. The parents will meet their children in their respective classrooms at 11:00 a.m.
The youth (grades 6-12) are invited to go directly to the youth room at 10:00 a.m. and study with the "Revolt" curriculum. Together the youth attend the entire 10:00 a.m. worship service on the first Sunday of every month. |
Summer Sunday SchoolDuring the summer, North Scottsdale UMC combines all of our classes to make a one-room classroom at the 10:00 a.m. service. The 10:00 a.m. one-room Sunday School class uses the curriculum "Deep Blue." Students ages 2 through 6 are in room #2 and ages 7-12 are in room #3. All children are invited to join us following Children's Moments in the service.
Teachers and students will walk to class together following Children's Moments. |
Nursery
Children ages two and younger are invited to attend our nursery. Our nursery is staffed by loving and caring paid education professionals. The nursery is open for both the 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Sunday worship services.
