Book Study on Foster Care
Saturday, March 25th, from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall
Meet our own published author, the Rev. Leah Bergstrom
She will lead a discussion on her fictional story, 24 HOURS CHANGED ME, which she wrote based on her experience as a foster parent.
Free copies of her book are available for this event. Leah will also cross reference this book to the UMW reading list book, WORRY LESS SO YOU CAN LIVE MORE--SURPRISING, SIMPLE WAYS TO FEEL MORE PEACE JOY AND ENERGY, by Jane Rubietta.
Leah is a retired United Methodist pastor and former teacher. She received her bachelor’s of science and her master’s of arts degrees in English from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her master’s of divinity degree is from the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Leah and husband, Bob, have six grown children. They opened their home to fifteen foster children, four of whom they adopted.
Feel free to bring a Bible to the event as she will refer to Bible passages that inspired her as she wrote the book. You may also want to read her other two books in the Kids of Celebrities Trilogy: 5 MINUTES COULD CHANGE IT ALL and 2 ½ MINUTES.
A UMW representative will be in the Fellowship Hall after both services for registration to this event.
