Calling ALL Families, and ALL AGED Individuals! As we continue to spread love and kindness within our congregation and beyond, we are excited to announce a wonderful outreach opportunity that is sure to make a difference in the lives of those in need. On September 16, 2023, at 9:00 AM, we cordially invite all families and individuals to join us in a day of service at the Justa Center, located at 1001 W Jefferson, Phoenix, AZ 85007.
The Justa Center is a beacon of hope for homeless senior citizens in the greater Phoenix area, providing essential support and resources to those who find themselves in challenging circumstances. Together, we can extend our compassion and support to these vulnerable members of our community, making a significant impact on their lives.
We welcome our children and youth, aged 18 and below, to participate in this outreach opportunity. We encourage parents or guardians to accompany their children, ensuring a meaningful and educational experience for everyone involved. It presents a perfect chance to instill in our young ones the value of empathy, kindness, and the significance of serving others who may not be able to help themselves.
Our NSUMC volunteer group will actively participate in several essential tasks during our time at the Justa Center. Together, we will run their food bank, wrap food items, serve in their open pantry, and assemble supplies for distribution to those in need. By contributing our time and effort, we can help create a positive change and brighten the lives of those facing hardships.
After the service outreach has concluded, we plan to gather for a group lunch, fostering an opportunity for all participants to share their experiences and connect with one another. Community-building lies at the heart of this endeavor, and we hope that through our shared service, we can forge stronger bonds within our congregation.
To ensure a smooth coordination of this event, we kindly request you to register yourself or your child for this opportunity at your earliest convenience. On the day of the event, we will meet directly at the Justa Center. Each volunteer is responsible for arranging their transportation to and from the location.

By working hand in hand, we can truly make a positive impact on the lives of others and exemplify the core values of our faith.
