In Joanna's story it was a doubt about being accepted. When we are younger we see, hear and/or witnessed injustice. Our minds are not developed enough to sort through the facts and eliminate emotions so we accept what we see as real truth. Some of us carry these moments with us our entire life. We repeat them. We protect them. We relive them.
How freeing and healthy it is for us to turn those moments over to God, the way Joanna did. She was able to drown out the emotional connections to that event and listen to God's wisdom!
She received the best New Year gift ever, to open her heart and mind to God and she let him lead!
We may not be starring in a television show or leading a major business, but we are all leading our lives. These lives may come with children, jobs, friends , families but most of all dreams. Each of our live's is a precious gift that we need to honor.
Please take the time this New Year to reflect on those "doubts" that we've learned in our early years. Look at them through a new lens. God's lens. Listen to God and let him help you dream and create the best 2016 ever!
Wishing you God's peace and grace in 2016!
