In February, our first and second grade Sunday School Students reflected on their Golden Rule Milestone. They put a twist on this golden "rule." They used the book, "Have you filled a bucket today?" by Carol McCloud.
The book explains that everyone has an invisible bucket and each of us can fill it or dip into it. Bucket fillers use the golden rule
Do to others as you would have them do to you.
Luke 6:31 New International Version (NIV)31
Bucket fillers are trustworthy, respectful and kind. Bucket dippers can empty our buckets with hurtful words or actions.
As Carol McCloud's book states, "The concept of bucket filling is easy to do! When you fill someone else's bucket you fill yours, too!"

The class and the congregation celebrated this Milestone on Sunday, February 8th during our 10am Children's Moments and afterwards in the 1st and 2nd grade classrooms. Thank you to our parents who allowed their child join us for this fun, memorable and bucket filling milestone!
