North Scottsdale United Methodist Church would like to send children back to school with a bag tag and a blessing!  We will  be offering blessings  on the student, their mobile device and their backpack.   For those that are not sending a student off to school, we welcome your donation of back to school supplies or financial support that will be blessed and shared with   Vista del Camino.

All children are invited stop by North Scottsdale United Methodist church on Saturday August 8th, 2020 between 9AM-12noon @ the FREE   Blessing of the Backpack SELF-SERVE backpack tag station. These tags will be located in a special back-to-school container on the NSUMC patio.  Your student is invited to select their favorite tag and attach it to their 2020 backpack.

The backpack tags will have been blessed prior to Saturday by our Senior Pastor the Reverend David Rennick.  The backpack tag is constant reminder that God is with the students of our community in their daily life and that their church family will be praying for them throughout the year.  NSUMC will celebrate the students new school year during  service on Sunday, Aug. 9th 10AM ONLINE.

Backpacks will be used a little differently this year and mobile devices will be added to the student's supply list.    Most students will begin online and need to keep all of their supplies ready for when their in-person classroom resumes.  The  backpacks will help students keep organized at home and then when in-person class begins they will still have their supplies ready to go!  We also  encourage donations of 8”x11” white boards and Expo dry erase markers for students online classroom. The white boards give the teacher a way to view answers quickly and also give students immediate feedback and support while online.

Don't have any students at home? All are invited to be a blessing to other less fortunate children by purchasing NEW school supplies and bringing it to the church Saturday 9am-12noon and drop it off in the bin next to the self-serve backpack tag station located on the NSUMC patio next to the office door. The new backpacks and all other donations will be blessed and distributed to Vista del Camino.  ONLINE donations can be made as well:
